Spring is right around the corner. It’s time to ditch those chunky wool overcoats and down coats for a coaches jacket and a v rare t-shirt. One of my favorite things about UNCOMMON is the diversity we have here in terms of style, music, and general taste. We’re gonna show you how to do it for SS16, starting with essentials for the warmer months.
If you haven’t already figured it out, Japanese brands are my thing. I’m yung indigo god, repping all blue all the time. The indigo dyed process has been a trademark of Japanese craftsmanship over the last few decades, and over the last year I have found that I look straight up fire in an all blue fit. The Hill-Side, has taken SS16 as an opportunity to “blue out.” This has been highlighted in their dope coaches jacket (with a killer chenille patch) and breakout Japanese brand, Blurhms, has graced us with loose fitting essentials in monochromatic tones.
It’s also been a huge year for a few select European brands. My 3 favorites to really kill it this season have been Gosha Rubchinskiy, Craig Green, and Death To Tennis. These brands have taken the cozy boy movement to new heights, recreating relaxed silhouettes in interesting patterns and fabrics such as denim and nylon.
